In a distressing incident, an individual attempted suicide by jumping onto the metro line at Girish Park metro station. Prompt action from authorities saved the person, who was subsequently rushed to the hospital for medical attention. However, this incident led to disruptions in metro services, particularly affecting the Kavi Subhash line, which runs from Dakshineswar. At approximately 9:50 AM, a metro train destined for Subhash was traveling on the down line when a man suddenly leaped onto the tracks. The quick response of the motorman, who applied the brakes, prevented a catastrophe but caused a commotion at the station.
